The main aim of this project is to provide users with an environment similar to a computer-based International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Writing Task 2 exam. Also, to help them to become better essay writers.
If you have not got specific tasks for IELTS Writing Task 2, start by finding some online. You can search the web or use one of my favorite resources: IELTS Liz - 100 IELTS Essay Questions. Alternatively, you can choose a topic and ask the AI to generate tasks for you.
Once you have your task, paste or type it into the "Insert your task here" input field. Start your stopwatch and ensure you complete your essay within 40 minutes, the time allocated in the real exam. If you manage to write your essay within this time and maintain good quality, well done!
After finishing, review your writing using tools like Google Docs or Grammarly. Remember to turn off all extensions during your writing process.
To enhance your writing skills, this website provides a brief report on your essay and feedback, along with an approximate band score range. Please note, this score is not highly precise.
You can practice the real exam interface on the official websites like British Council:
As an IELTS student, you likely have a collection of essays from your previous attempts. You can paste these essays into the app to get AI-generated reports. This feature can help you identify and correct recurring mistakes.
My name is Shamil, and I turned to a web developer from Engineering project management. Now, I am building web applications and websites. This website was created after the second IELTS attempt, and getting band 7.5 (C1 level). My first attempt was 6.5 (B2 level) 😅.
I took the IELTS GT exam twice, and I know it is not easy. However, I find it very helpful, especially for non-native English speakers because it develops English communication skills and the way of thinking. Additionally, some topics from the reading part can be quite insightful.
Most people I met told me that Writing was the most challenging for them. For me, it was the Speaking part, which was in person. At least, I got nervous the most. One advice I can give to overcome is to find and join a Toastmasters club. You can choose it in your city or country or attend my club, which is in Istanbul 🌷.
If you have questions or feedback, want to discuss the web, or even practice English speaking, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.
